MWA Drives Ambitious Plans For Mac’s Trucks

On behalf of Huddersfield based Mac’s Trucks, an independent truck dealer and body builder that specialises in purchase, production and aftersales of HGVs. Martin Walsh Architectural (MWA) has secured planning approval for a vehicle workshop extension.

Supporting the continued expansion of the business, which now spans over five decades, the extension will accommodate six new vehicle workshop bays, including the relocation of an existing spray booth. Additional yard space, spanning 5433sqm, will also be created.

Daryl Le-Vine, Chartered Architect at MWA, comments: “Mac’s Trucks is a well-established, sustainable business, positioned in an ideal location near the motorway. Its only challenge was accommodating exceptional growth in a booming, vibrant industry.

“Through planning approval, we have been able to support the company in expanding its facilities within its existing footprint.

“This successful application supports the company’s continued diversification. It also provides the space for adopting efficient manufacturing techniques, which will positively impact their carbon footprint. It is a great example of how a building can work harder for a business!”
