It goes without saying that we’re proud of each and every build that the team work on here at Martin Walsh Architectural (MWA), but for a project to become ‘award-winning’ is the ultimate recognition and an accolade that stays with us all throughout our careers.
So, to hear the news that we had been shortlisted for a total of three categories in the Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber Awards saw a great deal of excitement and led to more than a few smiles being raised around the office.
In the running for People Development, SME of the Year and Preservation & Rejuvenation, our shortlisted entries acknowledge the commitment that we have to the growth of our business and the development of our team, while also giving a nod to the quality, authenticity and attention to detail that was applied throughout our work on Dewsbury Townscape Heritage Initiative.
Martin Walsh, Managing Director at MWA, comments:
“Being shortlisted for one award would have been amazing, but to be a finalist in each of the three categories is just fantastic and a great morale boost for the whole team.
“We consistently strive to deliver the best, not just for our clients but for our team members too. It’s great to see the quality of our work being recognised alongside the commitment that we have to the personal development of our staff – there’s no doubt that without both of these factors the business wouldn’t be where it is today.”
You’ll find us donning our glad rags, putting the champagne on ice and keeping everything crossed at the awards ceremony this evening at New Dock Hall, Leeds.
Wish us luck!
