This development comprising 21 units sees the rounding off of the urban fringe of this part of Bradford.  Working with specialist highway consultants and the local authority, off site highway improvement works enable the site to accommodate residential development. The development also provides much needed parking for the adjacent primary school.  Three detached and five semi/terraced properties at the site entrance are arranged to create a distinctive arrival place.  The relationship of these buildings through site placement, orientation, landscaping and materials contribute to the site entrance place setting.  The remaining detached properties respond to the context of the site including adjacent development and open space.  An important landscaped buffer provides a soft edge to the green belt beyond, melding the urban and rural edges.

Local character analysis informed the architectural detail and material choice.
